Get More Than 24 Hours In Your Day

Get More Than 24 Hours In Your Day

Everyone wants more time. I constantly think about how I can get more time for all the things I want to do everyday. There isn’t any way to get more than 24 hours in a day, so In order to actually get more time you gotta eliminate things and free up your schedule.

Let me talk about what I do In a day first, I’ll bet there are a lot of similarities. If your like myself you have a job, which I spend 8 hours per day there. When I get off work I spend on average 1 hour per day doing errands. I spend at least 3 hours per day with my family, 7 hours sleeping, 1 hour working out, 1 hour cleaning, and if nothing else is going on an average of 3 hours per day doing whatever it is I want, like working on this blog.

I wish there was a way to get even just a few extra hours each day to do the things I want. The only way to do this is to reduce the time spent doing other tasks and maximize your time management.

People tend to think that they have to do a minimum routine each day in order for things to flow smoothly. While this is true there isn’t a set amount of time you have to spend doing it. You can cut time from this routine even if it’s only a few minutes at a time. For example, you could condense your cleaning time and exercise time together. If you clean hard and fast enough you will have an upped heart rate. This could eliminate the need to skip the warm up part of your exercise and you can go straight from cleaning to the hardcore part of your workout. Right there alone could save you as much as 15 minutes for the warm up and then also save you time, since you will be pushing yourself harder to clean and getting it done faster.

There are so many examples of ways you could save time in a similar fashion. My main point here is, you have to cut back on the time you spend doing routine activities in order to increase your free time. Even if you only made an extra hour each day that is a 25% increase if all you had to start with was 3 hours.

I’m going to share a few quick tips here to increase your time and also you can check out my time management article for more great advice on making more time daily. Good Luck!
